Portraits
My artistic journey began when I was about 9 years old and I fell in love with drawing Princess Ariel from 'The Little Mermaid'. Throughout most of my school years, I would draw Disney princesses in art lessons and in my scrapbook at home. This then evolved into drawing people from advertisements in magazines.
Come motherhood, drawing took a bit of a back seat until inspiration struck again one day, and I started doodling princesses at the dining table. And, I haven't looked back since!
A spark ignited and now I specialise in creating portraits using my favourite mediums, graphite and charcoal. Feel free to explore some of my work below and reach out if you'd like to discuss your own personalised drawing.
Friends & Family
It is an absolute joy to be able to draw loved ones and surprise them with their very own portrait! Typically, my portraits are 20cm by 20cm, although I have drawn ones as large as A3. Drawings look particularly elegant when framed and they never fail to bring a smile to someone's face. From the moment I put pencil to paper, I pour my heart and soul into each creation, capturing the essence and personality of the person I am drawing. Each portrait is a timeless and heartfelt tribute, making it the perfect gift for any occasion.
Online Images
Whether it be to relax or push myself to try new techniques, I often find myself browsing the internet for images to draw. It's not only enjoyable, but also a great way to practice my skills and improve as an artist.
Game and Cartoon Characters
I can never turn down a request to draw a beloved game or cartoon character! They bring so much joy and can be just as dear and memorable as any hand-drawn portrait.
Disney Princesses
The ladies who inspired me to start drawing many years ago and to whom I owe many thanks.
Magazine Advertisements
Early drawings from my teen years, using magazine ads as reference. If I remember correctly, most of them were about perfume.
